Several LiquidO-based projects are being explored or even under designed for imminent construction as they are approved & largely funded. The project spectrum (diagram below) ranges both fundamental research and innovation contexts.
As indicated, there is a strong level of correlation and commonalities in the ongoing projects, such as e+-annihilation imaging and/or the reactor neutrino (manifesting as an e+ in the final state) detection. Both scenarios rely strongly on the topological fundamental particle-ID capability from the few MeV energy range, complementary to other additional existing techniques such as pulse-shape discrimination, etc. Further details are deferred to their corresponding sites.
These projects are led by some of the members of the LiquidO consortium and while they remain closely linked to LiquidO’s developments and know-how (i.e. synergies and major collaboration), all those projects are independent entities. Their final goals go beyond the LiquidO technology-only scope. Hence, each of those projects is respectively led by different consortia or scientific collaborations, despite the presence – and even leadership – of LiquidO experts and much-derived expertise all across.
